About

Owner-run painting on the Gulf Coast.

Magnolia Painting is run by David DeAnda out of Mobile, Alabama, painting homes and businesses across Mobile and Baldwin counties.

When you call Magnolia Painting, you get David. He looks at the job, writes the quote, and is the person you talk to if anything comes up while the work is going on. That's the whole point of hiring an owner-run painter instead of a call center with crews you've never met.

The work is straightforward: prep done properly, quality coatings chosen for the surface and the exposure, two clean coats, hand-cut lines, and a house left clean at the end of every day. Where a wall has damage, we repair it. Where wood is soft, we tell you rather than paint over it. Where the weather won't let a coat cure, we wait.

What we paint

interior painting, exterior painting, cabinet painting, deck & fence staining, drywall repair & prep, and commercial painting. Inside, outside, and for businesses, across Mobile and Baldwin counties.

How a job runs

From the first call to the last walk-through.

  1. Call or send the form

Tell us what you're painting and when you'd like it done. David calls back within one business day.

  2. Walk-through and color talk

We come look at the surfaces, measure, point out anything that needs repair, and talk colors and sheens. No charge, no pressure.

  3. A quote you can read

Written, line by line, with the prep spelled out. You know what's included before you say yes.

  4. Prep is the job

Wash, scrape, sand, patch, caulk, prime. It's most of the work and it's why the finish lasts.

  5. Paint, then walk it with you

Two clean coats, hand-cut lines, daily cleanup, and a final walk-through together. Done when you're happy with it.
